Lexington residents hosting free block party

Lexington residents hosting free block party

I am hosting the block party and it’s called Holiday Drive Block Party because it’s on Holiday Drive not because it’s a holiday. Although it will feel like one getting celebrating together. It is a free event although if people want to bring anything for children in foster care for Christmas stockings, I will have a spot to collect that.

I work for Lutheran Services of the Carolinas as a Foster Care Recruiter so I will have a table set up for that along with tables for Triad coalition and Swirl Ministry. We will be offering a hotdog dinner, face painting, bounce house, fun, live music including the headliner performer, Rare of Breed and dance performers.

My husband and I wanted to bless the community and get to know one another after a couple of hard years with the pandemic. We hope to bring unity and a sense of joy from the block party.
