Lexington Youth Theatre auditions

Lexington Youth Theatre will hold auditions for the fall production of “The Wizard of Oz” on  Monday and Tuesday, August 30 and 31. Call-backs will be held on Thursday, September 2.  Auditions will be open to students from second to twelfth grade and will be held at 4 E. 3rd Ave. in  Lexington, NC. Auditions will begin at 3:30 p.m., and you must be signed in no later than 5:30 p.m. to  participate. 

“The Wizard of Oz” will run from November 5-7 at the Edward C. Smith Civic Center in Lexington and will be directed by Bobby Bodford, with music by Wes Richardson and choreography by Monica Walser. 

Please come prepared to sing 16 bars of a song. Music should be on a CD without words. No sheet music please. Come dressed for learning a dance number. 

Lexington Youth Theatre, Inc. (LYT) is a nonprofit providing professional arts education to youth  and outstanding live theater performances for the community. Our goal is to give the youth of  our community the opportunity to experience the joy of performing live theater.
