LFD responds to vacant house fire on Railroad St.

LEXINGTON – Sunday night Lexington Fire Department responded to a  house fire at 210 N. Railroad St. 

Fire crews arrived at 10:33 pm to find a small house with smoke coming from the  roof area. Firefighters quickly determined that the home was vacant. 

Firefighters brought the fire under control, and a search of the home revealed no  victims. The fire caused damage to the home's exterior near a rear window, minor damage to one of the bedrooms, and significant damage to the attic. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Lexington Fire Marshal's  Office.
