Local children need foster care
As of November 1 st, 2022, there were 155 children in the care of Davidson County DSS. Their ages range from 0 to 21.
Licensed foster homes:
Davidson County currently has 36 licensed foster homes. Due to the high number of children in our care most of our foster homes are at capacity and cannot take any additional placements.
Foster Care Licensing
Requirements:
US citizen
Financially stable
Appropriate housing
Live in or around Davidson County
Maximum of 5 children in the home at any given time
Reliable transportation
Fingerprints
Background check/CPS check
30 hours of training
Good mental and physical health

A. No, they receive a monthly reimbursement that
