Local felon arrested for possessing firearms and weapons of mass destruction
A strong law enforcement presence was noticed on Friday at a home in Davidson County where Christopher Steven Hauser of Lexington was arrested on September 13th after a report was received in July 2024 by Davidson County Sheriff Deputies alerting authorities that juveniles were being physically abused by Hauser.
A search warrant was obtained to search the property located at 4482 Holloway Church Road. During the search of the residence, Detectives discovered two firearms located inside of the home that were not secured.
The Winston Salem Bomb Squad and the Federal Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were called to assist with the situation when five explosive devices were located during the search of the property. The explosive devices were secured and Hauser was arrested without incident and charged with:
Two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Five counts of Possession of a Weapon of Mass Death and Destruction.
After appearing before the Davidson County Magistrate, he was issued a secured bond of $200,000 and a court date of October 7, 2024.
Hauser, who is a convicted felon, is currently in custody at the Davidson County Detention Center awaiting a court date of October, 7th.
