Local man arrested for drug possession

The Davidson County Patrol Division responded to 1916 Academy Dr. Lexington NC, 27295 in reference to a wanted person, Casey Duncan, being on scene.

Upon arrival, Deputies were informed that Duncan had fled through the woods at the back of the residence. Deputies searched the parallel street behind the residence and located Duncan on Central Hts. When Deputies attempted to make contact, Duncan fled on foot. Deputies pursued and apprehended Duncan in the woods behind 584 Central Hts.

Duncan was served with a warrant for arrest out of Davidson County for felony habitual larceny. Duncan was wearing a book bag while running and during the search incident to arrest, Deputies located a bag containing a substance that later tested positive for fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

Duncan was transported to the Davidson County Magistrate Office where he was served with the warrant for arrest and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.

Duncan received no bond and was issued a court date of 7/29/2024 in Lexington. Duncan was escorted to the Davidson County Jail where he was processed and confined.
