Local man arrested on multiple charges
On June 7th 2024, Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s T.R.A.C.E. Team, assigned to the Special Investigations Division arrested Hunter Alexander Spencer of Archdale during the course of a traffic stop in the area of Hwy 109 South near Noahtown Road, Thomasville.
Spencer was wanted by the High Point Police Department for larceny of motor vehicle. Spencer was also wanted by the Thomasville Police Department for common law robbery, second degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, larceny of a motor vehicle, hit and run, no operator’s license, misdemenor larceny and injury to real property.
Spencer was also wanted by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office from an incident that occurred on June 6, 2024 where Spencer rammed a Deputies vehicle in the area of Hill Road and then fled at a high rate of speed. Deputies issued warrants on Spencer for a stop sign violation, reckless driving, fleeing to elude arrest in a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a government official.
During the traffic stop with the T.R.A.C.E. Team, Spencer was combative as he was being taken into custody. As a result of the traffic stop Spencer was additionally charged with two more counts of second-degree kidnapping and resisting arrest as he attempted to force the driver of the vehicle, he was in to flee from law enforcement. Spencer is scheduled to appear in Lexington Court in June 2024.
