Low income energy assistance apps being accepted

Applications will be accepted starting December 1, 2021 for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP). If you received LIEAP last year, your vendor may receive an automatic  payment due to your continued eligibility. If you received a letter and have no changes, you do  not need to apply. For eligible applicants, this program provides a one-time vendor payment to  help pay for heating-related costs.  

Application Dates:  December 1, 2021–December 31, 2021 - ONLY accepted for household with a member age 60+ OR household that includes a disabled person who is actively receiving  services through the Division of Aging or Adult Services (DAAS). 

January 3, 2022–March 31, 2022 open for all Davidson County resident household. Applications will be accepted through March 31, 2022 or until funds are exhausted. 

Apply - online at epass.nc.gov or submit a paper application DSS8178L through mail, fax or drop off box  at the local DSS. Application form is available at local DSS. Applicants are not required to apply in person. Contact DSS for additional support to apply.
