LPD youth camp deemed a success

LPD youth camp deemed a success

Lexington Police Department hosted it’s sixth annual youth camp on July 19-21. Captain Ronnie Best noted the camp was a success. The camp allowed 17 youth to experience speakers, fun and games during the day.

The campers were able to participate in the Y on Wheels program by going out into the community engaging younger children. Campers also completed a community service project where they repaired a wooden deck patio on a house in the city. Other activities included bowling, open gym at the YMCA and a water balloon fight on the last day of camp.
