Achievements

The Fire department was awarded a North Carolina Department of Insurance Fire Protection class two rating in 2017.

In July 2020 the department received Heavy Rescue Certification, and in August of 2020 received both High Angle Rescue and Medical Responder Certifications.

Mission

The mission of the Lexington Fire Department is to provide the community with quality fire, safety and disaster mitigation services utilizing recognized industry standards as benchmarks for success.

To protect these interests, the Lexington Fire Department currently deploys firefighters out of three strategically located fire stations within the city.
