Man found deceased behind local business

At 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, officers from the Thomasville Police Department were dispatched to 504 National Highway following reports of an unresponsive individual located behind a dumpster on the premises.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel determined the individual to be deceased.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Jayden Matthew Vance, who was reported to be homeless.

At this time, no evidence of foul play has been discovered. However, an investigation is ongoing, pending the results of the autopsy.
