Moving closure starting next week on I-85 in Davidson County

LEXINGTON – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor plans to have a nightly moving closure along Interstate 85 near Highway 64 in Davidson County next week.
Weather permitting, on Monday and Tuesday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the contractor will conduct a slow-moving operation in the right lanes of I-85 between mile markers 96 and 103 in both the northbound and southbound directions. The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely repair damaged pavement marking lines.
Motorists are advised to slow down and use additional caution when traveling through the area.
