Multi county home break-in warning

Sheriff Offices in multiple counties are working to resolve a recent string of home break-ins across the following counties:

• Davidson

• Davie

• Forsyth

• Rowan

• Stokes

• Yadkin.

The suspects are frantically knocking on doors and ringing doorbells before kicking in the door if no one answered. The timeframe of the break-ins could be described as 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, a time when most people are at work.The incidents have occurred over the past summer months

The Sheriff’s Office in Yadkin County is working with other agencies to obtain search warrants for suspects from Winston-Salem known and suspected to be committing the break-ins.

Please look out for your neighbors and if you see anything suspicious do not hesitate to call 9-1-1. If you have security cameras please monitor them and call 9-1-1 if there is suspicious activity at your door. If you don’t have security cameras please consider them for deterrence and potential information after an incident.

Deputies are using all resources available to see that arrests are made and that the public is safe. If you notice suspicious activity, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY so that our deputies can identify the persons or vehicles involved.
