DESCRIPTION:
Lexington Parks and Recreation is excited to invite you to the 27th Annual Multicultural Festival on Saturday, May 6. Celebrating diversity through cultural music, ethnic foods, exhibits, and performances, attendees will be able to visit the world in a day, and be transported through a sampling of the cultures and heritages that make up our community. The Multicultural Festival is a day filled with sights, sounds, and tastes, and offers a wonderful and educational outing for the entire family!

The festival focuses on five major cultural areas: African American, European, Asian, Latino, and Native American, with many nationalities represented within them. Stages will feature entertainment from around the world. Visitors will experience new vendors and performers as well as family favorites, and be immersed in a variety of different cultures from around the world! This festival is free to the public, and attracts thousands of people, from Davidson County and surrounding cities and states.

The Festival will kick off at 10:00am, with a Parade of Nations at 10:45am highlighting all of the performers and exhibitors in the Festival. Stages offer exciting entertainment, vibrant costumes, and high energy throughout the day. Fan favorites like Kenya Safari Acrobats, Huepa Culture and Arts, 123 Jump, and Pasefika Fusion will both entertain and amaze. Back this year is Circus Stella, which combines trapeze, aerial silk, rope walking, acrobatics, juggling, & comedy! DareDevil Dogs will also be present, showcasing the incredible athletic abilities of their dogs. Make sure to stop by the Native American Village to see a Lumbee Drum Circle and dance.

Kids can get out their energy on FREE inflatables from All–N–One Entertainment. Be sure to savor the flavor at one of our many food vendors including Light of the World Church, Sunset Slush, Belle Full Vending, and the Jerk Truck. Don’t forget to purchase memorable keepsakes from artisans, crafters, and merchandise vendors ensuring you take home that special memento.
