God can calm a raging sea

God is with us, we don’t need to fear for the evidence of God’s presence is always near. For we know once in a while there are such significant global events to occur. In those moments we can rest assured that God will calm the raging sea. In the word of God,Jesus speaks a word and the raging sea calms. Mark 4:39 teaches us, “Then he arose and rebuked the wind and the sea, Peace be still,” and the wind ceased and there was a great calm, because with our Savior all things are possible. Whenever you find the waves of the sea raging, let us have faith in knowing that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.

Second Timothy 1:7 says, “Never let the raging sea distract you from where God is taking you.” Also we reflect on Mark 4:41 with, “And they were filled with great fear and said one to another, who is this that even the wind and the sea obey him.” When we fall face to face with the divine we find ourselves in awe of Him. There is none else that has the power to calm the raging sea, Jesus is merciful, the seas may sometimes overwhelm us but be of good cheer, He created the sea by his powerful word, Jesus’ word is authoritative, His word is divine. If you find yourself in a raging sea, stir up your faith.

Jesus is our best friend, He hears us when we pray. He understands everything that we are going through with the raging sea. Jesus knows before we know when the raging seas will be coming our way. Nothing catches our Savior by surprise. He is in control of the sea. Jesus brings peace to the raging sea, Jesus has the power over nature and power over all of our problems, whatever they may be.

God is in control and we know God can calm the raging sea.

As we meditate on the word of God this week, let us remember that God can calm the raging sea. The raging sea cannot harm the children of God, therefore be of good cheer and always know that our God can calm the raging sea.
