It is certainly a Summer for the Arts in Lexington as Arts Theater 202 located at 202 North Main Street offers an array of classes and live events to give your Summer vacation an enriching start. There is an attraction to choose from every weekend in June beginning with “Miscast” which is a unique on stage fundraiser presented by Lexington Live. If you have never attended an Open Mic Night, you are in for a treat. The Open Mic Night is an energy filled event featuring live performances by local musicians and poets that gather to present various forms of entertainment.
In the weeks to follow, Lexington will surely be coming out to celebrate both Pride and Juneteenth. Then, “Grease Is The Word '' as auditions begin for Summer Stock’s production of the renowned musical Grease.
All fashionistas will swoon at the collection of unique and vintage fashion being exhibited the final weeks of June in a Fashion Retrospective exhibit spanning the major eras of fashion from 1900 to 1980.
There are now even more reasons to spend your weekends and evenings in Uptown Lexington.
