Press Release: LFD responds to house fire on Mill St
LEXINGTON, NC – On Saturday, October 14, at 10:40 pm, the City of Lexington Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Mill Street. The building was a vacant boarding house.
When crews arrived at the home, they saw smoke coming from the front of the house. Firefighters immediately began working to extinguish the fire and conduct search operations. Searches revealed that there were no occupants in the home. The fire was under control in less than 20 minutes.
The home sustained fire and smoke damage, and no injuries were reported.
Lexington Police Department, West Lexington Fire & Rescue and Davidson County EMS assisted in the operation. The cause of the fire is under investigation by The City of Lexington Fire Marshal’s Office.
