Senator Steve Jarvis Appointed to Eight Committees
Raleigh, N.C. –Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) appointed Sen. Steve Jarvis (R-Davidson County) to eight committees for the 2025-26 legislative biennium. Additionally, Sen. Jarvis was tapped to serve as the Co-Chair of the Regulatory Reform Committee.
Sen. Jarvis will serve on the following committees during the biennium:
Co-Chair, Regulatory Reform
Member, Agriculture, Energy and Environment
Member, Appropriations/Base Budget
Member, Commerce and Insurance
Member, State and Local Government
Member, Transportation
Member, Appropriations on General Government and Information Technology
Member, Joint Legislative Commission on Government Operations
Legislative committees are the bedrock of the legislative process. They are where bills are debated, amended, and receive significant public input.
“Sen. Jarvis is well-versed in the matters that will come before the committees that he will serve on. I’m thankful for Sen. Jarvis’ willingness to bring his expertise to the committees, and I look forward to seeing the work he accomplishes this biennium for his constituents and the state,” Sen. Berger said.
