An Evening of Hope for Cancer Services
More than 300 people joined Cancer Services of Davidson County for An Evening of Hope at RCR Racing Museum Events Center. This was the agencies’ 15th annual summer fundraiser featuring a silent auction, live auction and Gary M. Drake Memorial raffle.
The evening also included reserved tables for patients and caregivers who shared their stories.
The event benefited the organizations mission and goals of Cancer Services, which is a United Way Agency that “Serves cancer patients and their families by providing financial assistance for prescribed life-supporting cancer medications, equipment, supplies and nutritional support, transportation to and from chemo/radiation treatments, emotional support groups, individual emotional support, home and hospital visitation program, spiritual outreach program and educational programs.”
The event was staffed by a host of volunteers and board members according to executive director Ray Nance Howell. To share your photos with our online gallery email them to info@davidsonlocal.com with An Evening of Hope in the subject line.
