Lexington, NC - “Big dreams, from a small town. Where ingenuity is cultivated.” - Marcella Elliott, LCS PR and Communications Specialist
In our efforts to continue to honor the beauty, diversity, authenticity, resilience and excellence our community has to offer; it is our pleasure to spotlight Lexington Senior High School's class of 2022 honorable achievements.
“LCS scholars have done an amazing job of getting into some of the best universities in the state. Our 165 stand out high academic scholars have been accepted to UNC Chapel Hill, High Point University, Appalachian State, NC State, and a host of other great schools. We are so proud of the hard work that these students exhibited to obtain their scholar designations,” said Dr. Anitra Wells, Superintendent of LCS. “We have recent scholars who have gained college credits and will be second semester freshmen and in some cases sophomores in college next year because of the access they had to community college courses. Our goal is for more of our LCS scholars to graduate high school with an Associates Degree and be able to save on college tuition in the future.”
