Register of Deeds implements Property Fraud Alert Service

Davidson County Register of Deeds, Michael E. Horne, is proud to announce the implementation of a Property Fraud Alert Service. According to the FBI, property and mortgage fraud is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the United States. To prevent these types of crimes, Davidson County Register of Deeds is proud to offer our New Property Fraud Alert service.

This service is FREE and allows property owners to stay up-to-date with information filed with the Register of Deeds office. Customers can register by going online to https://www.co.davidson.nc.us click on the Register of Deeds Official Records and then click on

Fraud Alert Signup. Once a customer is signed up, the service will immediately notify them by email if a document is filed under their name or business, allowing them to immediately recognize and take action to stop fraudulent actions.

The Property Fraud Alert service will provide Davidson County property owners and their families with a peace of mind in knowing that we are working to keep their property safe from being wrongfully taken.
