Press Release: Siceloff sets sci-fi book signing event for October 18th
Indie author and local dentist, Daniel Siceloff announces the release of his third book in one of the most heavy metal inspired sci-fi series of all time., Jupiter Rises.
Jupiter Rises, is the conclusion of the first trilogy of The Kon’s Wrath Saga. The book unfolds with the rise of one of the most pleasantly, unpleasant villain literature has ever seen, Jupiter Arias. The character is the leader of the Evol Army who is the most powerful mutant in the Kon, has something he wants to tell you and that is his story.
Siceloff began the series in 2021 by creating his own original genre which is called PowerPunk.
PowerPunk incorporates elements found in Power Metal. The fantasy stories are set in a technologically-advanced future setting, are fast-paced, light-hearted and uplifting with dramatic finales. Their focus is on fantasy, mythology, camaraderie, hope. Also included are themes of personal struggles, emotions, war and death, with no themes of religion or politics.
Siceloff’s first book, Yuri And The Dragon Key, features characters found in heavy metal album covers in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting along with references to bands like Iron Maiden, Savage Circus, Magic Kingdom and Judas Priest.
Savage Savior, the second book in the series, includes a word search throughout the book for Megadeth’s album titles. The word search leads to additional puzzles with the potential for the reader to be rewarded one of ten Dragon Keys from the author. As of to date, only 2 readers have succeeded in solving the puzzle; 8 Dragon Keys remain.
Jupiter Rises is chock-full of even more metal references and includes a new puzzle for readers ready to treasure hunt through the PowerPunk prose and receive a reward from the author.
Siceloff is also known for his “Finders Keepers” books. Clues left on Instagram allow readers to hunt for these books hidden in destinations around the world. Previous locations have included: the Florida Keys; Tulum, Mexico; Big Sky, Montana; London, England; Paris, France; Edinburgh, Scotland; the Nile River, Egypt; Zermatt, Switzerland; and the Serengeti, Tanzania. Siceloff commissioned artist Zac Lunsford to design book covers in a heavy metal style. He then created playlists on Spotify as soundtracks for each of his books.
The Kon’s Wrath Saga is edited by Daniel Robert Broder, a senior gameplay programmer for Fortnite by Epic Games. Jupiter Rises will be released on The Day Of The Dead, November 1, 2024 and is available for pre-order at BarnesAndNoble.com.
