Saying goodbye to summer
Saying goodbye to summer
Someone may ask, where does the time go? You may be thinking I had so many plans for the summer. Can it really be the end of summer already? The word of God teaches us in Psalms 113:3,” From the rising of the sun to the place where it sits, the name of the Lord is worthy to be praised.”
Saying goodbye to Summer, gives us a chance to reflect on all the great and beautiful creations that our father has given to us, we see all the splendor of his beauty in the flowers and the trees. We feel the warm sunshine on our faces as we travel through summer, the sunshine is bright and the days are longer. Can’t you smell the seasons changing as we say goodbye to summer? Let us take a moment to ponder on the book of Proverbs 10:5 this scripture teaches us,” He who gathers crops in the summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.” The Bible is teaching us to work and to remain prudent during the summer season.
“As long as the Earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall not cease,” states Genesis 8:22.
As the flowers fade and leaves fall from the trees let us always remember every good and perfect gift comes from above. Just as the summer leaves, we must move from one season into a new season. As people of faith, we should know that the new season brings new blessings.
It is with anticipation and hope for how God will lead us through the new season as we say goodbye to summer. Let us remember, “‘Tis grace that brought us safe thus far and grace will lead us home.”
As we embrace the next season that is coming our way, we know that God is with us during all time. Let us look forward and continue to press forward so that we may hit our mark. We should always have our eyes fixed on the horizon for the new season. Remember as we say goodbye to summer, know that nothing past, present or yet to come shall separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
As we prepare to say goodbye to summer, you should remember summer ends, memory begins, goodbye summer sun, summer fades, but memories remain. The end of summer marks the start of fall, so we say goodbye to warmth and hello chill. Summer ends and autumn starts as we say goodbye to summer.
When we meditate on the word of God this week, let us remember as the end of summer nears, summer may be leaving, but the memories we’ve created will keep us warm all year.
May God Richly Blessed!
