Sheriff's Office partners with VA police to make an arrest for human trafficking
In early December 2024, Detectives with the Lynchburg Police Department, of Lynchburg Virginia requested the assistance of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in an ongoing investigation into a sex trafficking operation. On December 12, 2024, The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office assisted investigators with the Lynchburg Police Department in executing a search warrant at a residence in Thomasville.
As a result, Thomas Lee Thomas II, 58 years of age, was taken into custody and charged with receiving money from the earnings of male or female prostitutes, commercial sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, keeping, residing in, or visiting a bawdy place for immoral purposes, and receiving money for procuring or placing a person at a location for the purpose of sex trafficking.
Thomas is currently being held in the Davidson County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition back to Virginia.
