Tasty Tips with Tamara Cade: Simple Chili
With cooler night time temperatures still lingering, your taste buds may be anxious for a warm bowl of chilli. If so, give this hearty recipe a try.
4 12oz Cans of Pinto Beans
2 12oz Cans of Kidney Beans
1 12oz Can of Diced Sweet Tomatoes
1 Small Diced Onion
1 lb Ground Beef/Ground Turkey
1 Envelope of Original Chilli Seasoning Mix by McCormick
1/4 Cup of Granulated Sugar
Salt and Pepper to taste
Pince of Minced Garlic
1. In a fry pan put a tablespoon and a half of vegetable oil or olive oil, put the onion along with the minced garlic. Add your ground meat.
2. In an 8-quart stock pot add beans, diced tomatoes, seasoning and sugar. Once meat is completely cooked, drain excessive grease then add to the pot as well.
3. Bring to a boil, after about 8 minutes, turn the heat down to a simmer. Once flavors have come together, enjoy!
