The Davidson County Public Libraries host "Take Your Child To The Library Day"

Every child dreams of meeting their favorite character from the books they read and the television shows that they watch. Some may dream of meeting Superman and aspiring to grow up to be as strong as him. Perhaps your child likes Harry Potter, immersing themselves in the magic of Hogwarts and the Wizarding World. Other children may wish to meet someone like Pete the Cat who is a charming character to befriend and go on wacky adventures with.
Tomorrow, Saturday February 03, 2024 and Monday February 05, the Davidson County Public Libraries are making it all possible, completely free of charge.
The Davidson County Public Library branches are all participating in “Take Your Child to the Library Day”. Each branch will have an assortment of fun activities for your family to enjoy. Most importantly, there will be a character at each location for your child to meet. Even Pete the Cat, an endearing blue cat with a penchant for adventure will be present.
Beyond just meeting the characters, there will also be a wide variety of games to participate in, ranging from STEM crafts, an intellectually stimulating activity, to face painting, which will be an exciting way for your child to express their creativity and simply have fun. In addition, snacks will be provided in some locations in particular, the Thomasville Public Library will be serving delicious pancakes while supplies last.
