Mia Mason brings soulful "Dream Catcher" to tonight's Burger Week event

Burgers, Brews, & News fans meet up and coming artist, Mia Mason.

From soulful ballads by Whitney Houston to original Gospel composition “Dream Catcher,” Mia Mason ushers in a sweet song to every stage she graces. Mason has performed on regional stages while doing dynamic things this senior year at Salisbury High School, according to her mother, and author, Dawn Mason. Mia has already begun her career in the arts as her community came together to celebrate her awesome accomplishments. Mason is already known as a singer, songwriter, actress, play-writer and model.

Mason will perform a musical set opposite of Ken Davis for Lexington’s first Eat. Drink. Burger Week! Davidson Local is teaming up for an exciting week with an idea{crafted} by friends at the Triad Food and Beverage Coalition, Winston-Salem Journal and Greensboro News & Record to support Eat. Drink. Burger Week!, which is part of a regional effort running from September 19-25 to celebrate culinary creativity, increase visibility and engage with the food and beverage community. Participating restaurants across the Triad will prepare a unique and delicious "off the menu" burger available for one week only. Chefs will each create a masterpiece, off the regular menu, vetted in advance to assure no two burgers are alike. Patrons will eat, drink and vote online for their favorite burger and the Eat. Drink. Burger Week! champion will be presented with a trophy and bragging rights.

The singer songwriter is eager to bring her spirited style along with hometown favorite Ken Davis. She knows that learning from those who have gone before and every step is important. “It’s important to live every moment as if your life depended on it,” Mason said.
