Falls are Preventable – Learn How

Davidson County, NC – A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Davidson County Senior Services will host the class at the senior center in Lexington (555-B West Center St. Ext.) Mondays and Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m. August 14 through September 11. This program is offered to Davidson County residents age 55 and older at no charge. Special thanks to Alignment Health and Brookstone Retirement Center for their sponsorship of the class.

A Matter of Balance emphasizes practical strategies to increase balance and lessen fall risks. Whether you have fallen in the past or are simply concerned about falls, this class is for you. You will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals to increase activity and make changes to reduce your fall risk at home.
