Tropical Storm Warning issued, school systems closed on Friday

A Tropical Storm Warning has prompted local school systems to close and/or adjust their routine on Friday. Tropical Storm Ian is expected to bring heavy rains and wind gusts up to 55mph to the area.

Lexington City Schools will be closed for students. It is an optional work day for staff with all buildings closing at noon. 

Thomasville City Schools will be closed for students and staff.

Davidson County Schools will have a remote instruction day for staff and students. Teachers will communicate objectives and expectations for the day with students by 8:30 am by email or Dojo. Staff will receive instructions from their immediate supervisor. Any questions about unique situations for staff should be directed to their immediate supervisor.

Davidson Charter Academy will have a previously scheduled teacher workday. The school will be closed.
