Welcome, NC annual Easter Parade is coming

Welcome, NC annual Easter parade will be happening this year. Following cancellation the past two years due to Covid-19, the parade committee is ready to kick off this year’s event. The parade will begin at 3:00 p.m. April 9, 2022. The parade will begin at North Davidson High School and travel south on Old U.S. Highway 52, and will end at Welcome Elementary School.

This year’s Grand Marshall with be community leader Dr. Max Walser. The Easter Parade has been on hold since the pandemic spread, Dr. Walser was named the Grand Marshall for the 2020 parade but was unable to fulfil his duties, but he will be leading this year’s parade, and many folks are happy about getting outside and being able to gather for the festivities.

The parade organizer is Judy Butler, entries for the parade are still open. Applications for the parade are available at BB&T Bank, First National Bank, Pinnacle Financial Partners and Reggie’s Flower Shoppe, all of these locations are in the Welcome community.
