Women In Motion to accept grant applications beginning May 1st, Thomasville programs eligible

Women in Motion of High Point, a women's initiative that brings area women together to encourage each other's leadership, professional success, personal wellness, and financial independence, is excited to announce that it will be accepting grant applications beginning May 1st, 2023. The grants are aimed at supporting programs that improve the personal, economic, or professional development of women in the greater High Point community, including Thomasville, Archdale, and Jamestown.

To be eligible for the grant, organizations must have 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status as defined by the Internal Revenue Service, and programs must primarily serve women in the aforementioned communities. Programs should pertain to one or more of Women in Motion's four identified areas of need, which include education, mentorship, resources, and wellness. The primary desired outcome is to improve the personal, economic, or professional development of women in the workforce. A secondary desired outcome is to increase the number of women willing and able to take on leadership roles in the communities we serve. We welcome pilot programs that target under-represented women in the community.

"Our goal is to partner with community organizations to create solutions that will enable women in the workforce to ensure economic and professional growth leading to additional leadership in our communities," said Pam Baldwin, Director of Women in Motion.

Women In Motion recognizes that women face unique challenges in the workforce and is committed to creating opportunities for their advancement. The grants provided by the organization will go a long way in supporting programs that help women gain additional education, better systems for networking, access to resources, and balance personal wellness and professional success with professional and family demands.
