This past weekend, the third annual Jeeps on the Farm event at Denton FarmPark brought together a flood of happy jeepers, thanks to our friends at Denton FarmPark. The two-day event took place on August 10th and 11th and featured activities such as an obstacle course, live music, vendors, and a Jeep Parade on August 11th, supporting the South Davidson Fire Department. Co-owner and organizer Karen Miller mentioned that event registrations tripled this year, with over 1,000 attendees. However, the official Jeep count results have yet to be released.
Jeep clubs and individual owners from near and far gathered in Denton to celebrate the unity of Jeep Life. Various Jeep models were on display. The event included a Jeep show, local and national vendors selling Jeep parts, a gun show, food vendors, train rides, music, RC racing, and a Jeep ride to Uwharrie, with proceeds going to a non-profit organization.
Trophies were awarded based on participants' votes for categories including Best in Show, Most Group Turnout, Most Original, and Best Off-road Build. Many Jeep enthusiasts have cleverly named Jeeps with themes. The featured Jeep of the Year was "Archangel," and the event aimed to bring together the community of Jeep enthusiasts.
A popular tradition among Jeep owners called "Jeep Ducking" involves leaving rubber ducks on other Jeeps as a lighthearted surprise to create connections and spread joy among enthusiasts.
In addition to well-known events such as the Southeast Old Threshers Reunion and The Country Christmas Train, the FarmPark is hosting Bug'n in the Park on Saturday, August 24th, and Sunday, August 25th, for the first VW Bug show. Proceeds from The Bug event will benefit NC Fallen Firefighters.
