Lexington Police Department to host community meetings in may
Police Chief Robby Rummage and Lexington Police Department (LPD) leadership will be hosting four community meetings throughout the month of May. The meetings will take place at various locations throughout Lexington.
Residents are encouraged to attend to let their voice be heard, meet LPD leadership, and engage in conversation with other Lexington residents about how we can keep Lexington safe. Chief Rummage believes that these meetings facilitate open discussion and collaboration, which are vital in our community.
“We are all participants in our community, and coming together for open discussion and collaboration is essential to creating a safe and thriving place to live,” said Chief Rummage. “We all benefit from listening, learning, sharing, and educating one another. I look forward to these conversations with our community members, both personally and professionally”.
The meeting dates and locations are set for May 6 at First Baptist Church (210 Village Dr), May 8 at Commons on the Green (200 Country Club Blvd), May 13 at New Hope Holiness Church (517 Tussey St) and May 14 at the J. Smith Young YMCA (119 W 3rd Ave). All meetings will start at 6:30 pm.
