Parish Hall at Grace Episcopal Church
419 South Main Street Lexington, NC
Grace Episcopal Church would like to invite members of the Lexington and Davidson County community to join with us for an open discussion of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s award-winning book, Love is the Way, an exploration of ways we can live more lovingly in our personal lives and in our community.
This one-night-only discussion will be held on Thursday, January 19, at 7 p.m. in Grace Episcopal’s Parish Hall, 419 South Main Street, Lexington. Lay facilitators from Grace Church and First Presbyterian will lead the open discussion, which will explore the relevance of Curry’s book for our community and the world. Participation by Zoom will be available and encouraged for all who cannot attend the in-person gathering. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82867001079?pwd=dmhVVHljY09kS29MZnpnN3J5MHZxZz09
Curry, the presiding Episcopal bishop in the United States, writes that Jesus’ teachings about love offer the greatest hope for resolving the most challenging issues of our time, including racism, poverty, drugs and crime, community decline, LGBTQ rights, immigration, environmental preservation, deep political division, and the lack of constructive civil discourse.
Refreshments will be provided.
Important note: You don’t have to read the book to attend!
