YMCA seeks public's help for history wall

The Y is working on producing a history wall which will feature a timeline of events that have taken place at the Y over the years as well as photographs, posters, and newspaper articles that illustrate the events.

We are asking local citizens to look through their collections and see if they have saved any historical items which would relate to any of these events.

We are particularly interested in items related to the Elvis performance, North State Basketball tournament games, wrestling, Holiday on Ice, the Harlem Globetrotters, bowling, dances, swimming, gymnastics, and other events which may have occurred. This would include any historical photos of the Y facilities over the years during periods of construction or renovation.

Items would be returned after they have been photocopied.
