The Central Carolina matchup between West Davidson (4-2) and Thomasville (2-5) brought the "Fiyah" that many are calling a historic win for the Green Dragons at Glosson Stadium.

The Dragons also celebrated Community Night and honored a number of Tyro-based youth programs.

The West Davidson varsity football team defeated the Bulldogs in Friday's home conference game against Thomasville by a score of 14-0.

In their last games, both West Davidson and Thomasville struggled to score.

West Davidson suffered a heavy defeat against Salisbury, losing 42-7 on prior Monday, marking their lowest-scoring game of the season.

Meanwhile, Thomasville also faced a tough loss, falling 15-12 to North Rowan on Monday, marking their second consecutive loss.

Following these results, West Davidson's record dropped to 3-2, while Thomasville's fell to 2-4.

In their previous encounter in September 2023, Thomasville defeated West Davidson 47-0. In the programs' folklore, legends say that West Davidson's varsity football program has struggled for years to win the battle on the gridiron against the Bulldogs.

Led by sophomore dual-threat quarterback #4 Carson Correll, the Dragons will bring the thunder to Lexington (4-2) for a rescheduled Homecoming game on the Yellow Jackets’ Turf.
