Police seek information on active investigation involving animal cruelty and firearms

On December 16, 2024, Deputies responded to the 400 Block of Gray Rd after witnesses reported a dog being shot and killed. This investigation revealed that Aristeo Rabadan Aviles was the individual responsible for this incident.

On 12/20/2024 the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Unit with the assistance of other Davidson County Sheriff's Office personnel executed a search warrant on Aviles and his residence. During a search of Aviles residence and property a firearm was located which investigators believe is tied to this investigation. Aviles was arrested and charged with 1 count of Firearm by Felon. Mr. Aviles is scheduled to appear in court at the Davidson County courthouse on January 8, 2025.
