Annual Book Sale: Back by Popular Demand

The Friends of the Lexington Library is proud to announce our Annual Book Sale scheduled for October 7 at 8 with a Members’ Only Preview on Thursday, October 6.

The Annual Book Sale had been suspended during the COVID pandemic years. Book Sale Chairman, Patty Younts, is delighted to announce the Book Sale will be held again this year. The Book Sale will be receiving books from the community and will be offering them for sale to the public at a discounted price. All proceeds from the sale of the books and media go to benefit the Lexington Library.

Book donations and electronic media will be collected at the Annex, in back of the Lexington library, on Tuesdays, starting August 23, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM and Saturdays, starting August 27, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon.

Clean out your closets and bookcases. The Book Sale will be accepting all good condition hard and paperback books, CDs and DVDs, children’s books, games, and puzzles.

They cannot accept textbooks, encyclopedias, tech manuals, books with smoke/water/mold damage, Reader’s Digest collections, magazines, or video games.

Readers’ Digest collections. Reference, law, medical and health books 5 years or later. Travel guides 2 years or later and Computer/IT books 3 years or later.

Karen Schrader, President of Friends, is seeking volunteers to help receive and shelve books on the collection days of Tuesdays and Saturdays. You do not need to be a Friends member to volunteer. You can sign up to volunteer by emailing Friends at lexnclibraryfriends@gmail.com.

Bring your good condition books and media to 612 S Main St., Lexington on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
