A Photo Gallery: Holiday Englandwood

The staff of Charles England Elementary School (CEES) turned their campus into an oasis of lights, characters and goodies on Monday evening. Hosting their 2nd Annual ‘Holiday Englandwood’, students and their families enjoyed a ride through from station to station where they received books, candy, hot chocolate, s’mores kits and gift bags. Santa even made an appearance. As did The Grinch.

Last year, Englandwood served as a way for staff to celebrate the holiday season with their students and families. At the time, schools hadn’t been permitted to reopen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Witnessing the success of last year’s event which resulted in an abundance of smiles and squeals of delight, the staff decided to bring the festive atmosphere to life once again.

Currently, Englandwood is just a school event meant for students and families of CEES to enjoy. Due to giveaways, the school hasn’t opened the event up the public. Principal Beth Callicutt hopes that’s not the case at some point in the future.

“One of these days, we would love to do this for the community!”
