Addie, a senior at Lexington Senior High School, accompanied by her proud parents, Joy and Vance Walser, has made significant strides in the field through her insightful storytelling on art, literature and culture. Her work has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to amplifying voices, sparking meaningful conversations, and shedding light on important social narratives.
As she approaches her graduation this year, Addie's dedication, integrity, and passion for writing have been rightfully celebrated. While her efforts may not have been widely recognized before, this honor underscores her exceptional impact on the community. There is great anticipation for her continued success in the field of journalism, especially as she prepares to attend UNC Chapel Hill in the fall of 2025.
The event at Arts 202 not only highlighted Addie's achievements but also served as a platform to encourage other young individuals to engage in journalism and the arts, fostering a community rich in culture and informed discourse.
