Be like The Lion King

In the movie The Lion King, we find the lions are the royal family of animal Kingdom. Just like the lions in the movie, we as believers have to learn to overcome obstacles, so that we may live in peace and harmony. Disney has a way of connecting with us all and resonating with who we are, what we are experiencing and who we are to become.

In the word of God, Genesis 49, teaches us, “You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a Lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness who dare to rouse him? The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.”

Jacob calls Judah, a lion, and then he says to the scepter the royal line will always be with his descendants. The Word of God warns us in 1 Peter 5:8, “ Be alert of sober mind, your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

As believers we have been called for a purpose. God has claimed us as his children. We will not fear we will take on the spirit of a lion king. May we always remember who we are and when we remember who we are the spirit of the Lord will fill us with his mighty power. Be a lion king. Let us take a quote from the movie from Simba’s father, who appears to him in a cloud in the night sky. Simba hears his father's voice from Heaven saying, ”Simba, Simba, you have forgotten me!”  Simba replied, “No how could I.”

Just like believers, we have a father in heaven that has given us the strength to stay strong as a lion.

If life begins to get you down we all should take a moment to say “Hakuna Matata”, which means no troubles or no worries and all we need to do is to take it easy.If you are having a bad day and things are not going as you would like for them to Hakuna Matata, ”It means no worries for the rest of your days. It’s a problem free philosophy, a Hakuna Matata.”

May we all take on the strength and be like a lion king.

As we meditate on the word of God this week, let us remember, if you find yourself going through a difficult trial, it’s only God motivating you to get on your knees as never before, and pour out your heart to God and pray to God and believing God and trust in God more deeply that you may always take on the spirit to be like a lion king.

May God So Richly Bless!
