Breaking News: Thomasville serial robbers arrested
A High Point man has been captured by Thomasville Police Department officers after committing several armed robberies in Thomasville over a two-week time period.
Marco's Pizza, 401 Randolph Street, was the victim of an armed robbery on March 17, at 10:50 p.m.
Witnesses reported a black male entered the restaurant, brandished a firearm and demanded money.
On March 22, at 6:48 p.m., officers responded to Campbell's Mini Mart, 717 E. Guilford St., in reference to an armed robbery.
Witnesses provided a similar description.
TPD detectives learned a similar robbery had occurred in High Point and through collaboration with High Point officers.
The suspect was identified and TPD detectives obtained warrants on the suspect but was unable to locate him.
On March 27, at 10:39 p.m., the same suspect hit again at the Stop & Shop, 1102 National Highway.
The suspect entered the convenience store, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The suspect made a getaway before responding officers arrived at the scene, only this time, investigators were able to identify a suspect vehicle used in the robbery.
On March 30, at 10:33 p.m., the suspect struck again at the Speedway, 407 Randolph Street.
As in the previous robberies, the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency.
While officers responded to the scene, other TPD officers quickly covered potential escape routes to High Point looking for the suspect vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle traveling on US 29-N (Business 85) near National Highway.
Officers initiated a traffic stop where the vehicle slowed and the passenger fled on foot. The vehicle stopped and the driver was taken into custody.
The passenger, Brandon Tyshon Mills, 27, of High Point, was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit near Old Dominion Way.
Mills was charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of possession of a firemarm by felon.
The driver, Terez Lamar Breeden, 28, of High Point, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and driving while impaired.
Mills and Breeden were booked into the Davidson County Jail where they are currently under secured bonds of $175,000 and $30,000 respectively.
Additional charges are possible.
