Davidson Charter Academy to host groundbreaking for new Middle School on Tuesday

Davidson Charter Academy board members, administrators, faculty and staff, and members of the community will participate in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Middle School on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 4:30 PM.

The 45,727 square-foot building will welcome sixth, seventh and eighth grade students in the fall of 2023. The new building will include 22 classrooms, a full-size gymnasium, performing arts stage, greenhouse, and a commons area. The new middle school will be built adjacent to the existing elementary building located on Biesecker Road in Lexington.

Davidson Charter Academy (DCA) is a North Carolina Public Charter School serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade. It is the mission of the school, in partnership with parents and community members, to foster student learning and achievement, and inspire students to become independent thinkers, effective communicators, and contributing citizens of a global society. DCA provides a well-rounded, content-rich, rigorous curriculum that includes the Core Knowledge Sequence and Singapore Mathematics.
