Dear Diary,
I can’t write much…or for very long. Hopefully, this gets into the right hands. If you're reading this, it means you live in this awful home. It’s currently 1995, and it may be years until someone reads this, but I’m warning you now…leave. I’m afraid it’s too late for me, but you should have some time. You’ve probably read the crosswords I’ve left behind. Those are the most important ones I’ve done. I need you to go into the kitchen. Taped under the drawer is an envelope which holds $10,000. That should be enough for you to run. If you haven’t realized, you're the woman in the future. This house isn’t any old house, it’s ghostly. Disappearing doors, crosswords speaking to you, clean, eerie rooms. I’ve been through it all, and if you don’t want to end up like me, you…
7:50pm - New diary, new entry
That’s all…it’s almost as if something cut them off. I’ve already checked for the money. It’s there, all ten grand. It’s a good thing I haven’t unpacked a lot yet. My writings all messed up from my hands shaking…so please excuse that. This is my last journal entry for good. If what they said is true, I think it's best to lock my journal up with theirs. I don’t want any bad omens. I’m also packing away my crosswords and notepad. Thank you for everything, goodbye.
