Press Release: Chair City Christmas Dec. 15th

Press Release: Chair City Christmas Dec. 15th

“Chair City Christmas” is a Community Christmas Gathering held in downtown Thomasville.

The event will take place on Main Street from 6-8 PM on December 15. The mission of this event is to provide a free, fun, and family-friendly gathering to boost the Christmas Spirit in Thomasville, serving our community by celebrating and communicating the true Joy of Christmas! In a joint effort, the event is sponsored by a number of wonderful businesses and organizations in the Thomasville area.

This year will mark the fifth annual Chair City Christmas. In 2022, we saw over 2000 community members in attendance and gave away around 500 toys to children! We are anticipating even greater attendance this year and hope to give out just as many toys!

As in previous years, our program will feature a stage with a live band to lead in fun and energetic Christmas carols, an inspirational sharing of the Hope that the Christmas story brings, greetings from various community leaders, and a community prayer. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for a meet and greet opportunity for children as well as a photo opportunity. Every child that attends will be given a free Christmas gift (new toys that vary from a stuffed animal, toy doll, toy car, Lego or Playdough set, etc.). “The Blend” Coffee Shop will be offering free Hot Cocoa to everyone in attendance.
