Close the door on 2024

Another year is almost gone and we are pressing forward into a new year, 2024 was filled with excitement as well as new challenges. Going forward, let us not consume ourselves with what happened in the past. Closing the door on 2024 and ending the year well should be something we strive for.

Matthew 25:23 teaches us, “Will these actions end up producing godly fruit, where in the end we will hear, well done thou good and faithful servant?”

To close the door on 2024 we must remember to serve God so therefore, as we begin closing the door on 2024, also remember we can repent of all of our failures and we can give thanks for our blessings knowing that as we close the door on 2024 God is still worthy of our praises.

Let us now give thought as we close the door on 2024.

Maybe it’s a sign that God is redirecting us into a new and better year.

May the new year give us a way to refocus our lives and our commitment to God. Closing the door means that God is preparing something bigger and better than what we had in 2024. May we take the time to abandon the old and embrace the new understanding that our God has closed the door to open up bigger doors in the new year.

While we close the door on 2024 remember, this year has been for the glory of God.

Shall we always remember the ones we lost in 2024. Also, we should remember the newness that we gained in 2024 as we press to look alive in 2025.

Let us have great expectations.

There have been times when God looked at us through the closed doors.

Remember always, God made everything beautiful in his time, God has never closed one door without opening a new door so as we embark on this new journey towards 2025, let us reflect on the scripture Ecclesiastes 3:11 which says “It is not your time or my time, but his time in the fullness of time.”

If you found yourself feeling discouraged in the past, trust always and thank God that he did not forget about you. In 2024 God may have placed you in a divine delay for 2025.

The new year will be here soon, so let us not forget those things behind us as we press forward into the new year, knowing always that God has prepared us for open doors. God will always guide us in the future as he has in the past, I pray that you will walk and trust God as he closes the door on 2024.

As we meditate on the word of God this week let us further understand the message by quoting the popular New Year’s song Auld Lang Syne. “Should old acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind? Should old acquaintance be forgot in the days of auld lang syne?” Which simply means, looking back over the past year and persevering old friendships, it’s a call to remember long standing friendships. May the song offer reflection and hope for a better  year.

Happy New Year.

God So Richly Bless!
