County commissioners vote against assuming direct control of the board of health

By a vote of 4-3, the Davidson County Commissioners voted against assuming direct control of the Davidson County Board of Health at their meeting on Monday evening, April 24. Commissioners Fred McClure, Chris Elliott, Karen Watford and Matt Mizell voted in favor of keeping the Board as is. Commissioners Todd Yates, Steve Shell and James Shores were opposed.
The motion was made by Mizell and seconded by Watford.
