Local country musician Braden Hull will share comfort and joy through a free Christmas concert from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, Dec.14 at High Rock Church, 135 Lowes Blvd, Lexington. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and TicTok.
“I am so excited to be able to give back to our amazing community. This is all, thanks to y’all,” Hull said in a statement. “We have personally sponsored some families that have fallen on tough times and aren’t able to provide a Christmas for their kids this year.”
The event will include a toy drive for children of all ages, snacks, coffee, live holiday music, crafts and pictures with Santa.
Pastor Andy Clarke of High Rock Church of Lexington said they were excited to host Hull’s outreach event. “I thought it was a great idea. There is so much need in the world today and to see someone using their platform to help people and to do good with it…,” Clarke said. “There is hope, I think churches should be involved in more things like this.”
Hull’s music captures the full spectrum of life including his emotional journey, reflective of his roots, family, beliefs and personal experiences with love, death, heartache and celebration.
His first single, “Falling Out of Love,” is a song from Hull’s childhood perspective about the divorce of his parents with a message to offer those in similar situations hope that life will get better. The viral hit has had over one million views on TikTok radio stations and several local sources. The song has provided a source of healing for Hull and listeners.
Hull shared his goal was to bring Christmas cheer to children and to brighten positive childhood memories. “Christmas for some kids who otherwise wouldn’t have presents under the tree on Christmas morning.” Donations may be made through the following links:
