Davidson County Schools set to announce new superintendent live Dec. 21st
The Davidson County Board of Education will hold a specially called meeting on Thursday, December 21st, 2023 beginning at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place at Davis-Townsend Elementary School located at 975 Heath Church Road, Lexington.

Dr. Emily W. Lipe retired as superintendent of Davidson County Schools on September 1, 2023 after serving as superintendent of Davidson County Schools since 2017.
The board will hold a closed session to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, condition of appointment of a public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee [NCGS § 143-318.11(a)(6)].
Upon returning to open session, the Board of Education will select and approve the new Superintendent of Schools.
