Faith and Fellowship: Silent Night

Faith and Fellowship: Silent Night

Silent Night
In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, the word became flesh. The word wrapped himself, he wrapped our humility around his deity. God’s creation became a part of the very creation He created.
The most important part about the Christmas story is that Jesus was born a King, He came as a fulfillment of prophecy. Jesus was born of a virgin.
The Angels of God declared his birth.

The Bible teaches us that the miraculous birth was possible. Is there anything too hard for God?
Jesus birth was unique for it came through the word of the Holy Spirit! We Thank God for using Mary as the vessel to accomplish God’s eternal purpose and plan. The night that Christ was born was a Silent Night, It was an ordinary night with ordinary sheep.
But God shows up on the scene it is no longer an ordinary night!  It is now a Silent Night!

Silent night! Holy night! All is calm and all is bright! Silent night, alludes to the fact that the first Christmas was not at all what was expected on that starry night.
Over two thousand years ago, Although the Savior of the World was prophesied, no one expected our King would be born in such a lowly estate, with Angels heralding His birth. The Shepherds never imagined that a baby lying in a manger would be the Savior of the world.

As you sing the words to Silent Night. I pray that the good news of the lyrics will bring the promise of hope this Christmas Season.
“Silent Night, Holy Night all is calm all is bright.
Round yon virgin, mother and Child
           Holy infant, tender and mild.
           Sleeping Heavenly Peace;
           Sleeping Heavenly Peace”

Our Savior sleeping Heavenly Peace gives us a reason to celebrate and to fully embrace the Joy of this season giving Praise to God for the incomparable Gift of his son given to us on the most holy of nights.
Luke 2:8-16 teaches us, Mary gave birth to Jesus and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger.
Let us sing from our hearts and our souls, Let us sing with the angels Silent Night!

As we meditate on the word of God this week let us
Reflect on Silent Night. Maybe your life isn’t going in the direction you would like for it to, or maybe your life has lost direction, May we always remember we can always go to the Savior that was born in Bethlehem. May we always remember Silent Night.
Grace, Mercy and Peace be upon us this Christmas Season.

May God So Richly Bless!
